New Year’s Eve in the Fresh White Stuff!

December 31st, 2008: It started snowing during the night and we woke to a fresh layer of snow. The flakes continued falling until just before midday when a break in the weather meant we could enjoy the great views. The snow started again after lunch and we made fresh tracks all afternoon.

December 27th, 2008: A perfect sunny day with lots of snow to ski in. After several runs in the Les Gets bowl, Esther stopped for a chocolat chaud. The deckchairs at the Rossetaz face the sun and great views. Only the lure of the good skiing conditions cut short a sun-bathing afternoon!

December 15th, 2008: There were a lucky few who managed to make it out this weekend and they weren’t disappointed. The snow is in perfect condition both in Les Gets and Morzine. Here are a few shots of what’s been going on!

The Season Is Well Under Way!

December 8th, 2008: Les Gets and Avoriaz opened this weekend after another huge dump of snow. Although the visibility was a little poor on Saturday, the conditions on Sunday were perfect. Avoriaz and the surrounding areas are remaining open all week so it’s a fabulous start to the 2008-2009 season.
